25th death anniversary of Ima Rajani observed

Nupee-Lal Memorial Association (NLMA) today observed the 25th death anniversary of the freedom fighter, Ima Rajani at Nupee-Lal Memorial Complex, Imphal. As a part of the observation, a patriotic song competition along with a quiz competition were organised today. Prizes were also distributed to the winners of the Painting competition which was held in the month of Dec, 14.
Speaking on the occasion, Longjamba Meetei, State Awardee, Secretary Steering Committee, NLMA said that the late freedom fighter, Ima Rajani had once written a book about the Memorable war of Nupee-Lal. The book was released by Dr. Rishang Keishing on the first state function of Manipur. Longjamba further said that the freedom fighter had described how strongly the mothers of Manipur fought against the British government in her book. Adding more volumes to the book NLMA will soon proceed to publish a book along with a documentary film about the memorable war of Nupee-Lal, added Longjamba Meetei.
