Imphal, Jan 2:

A discussion program was jointly organized by the United People’s Front, Manipur (UPF) and the Naorem Youth Library & Development Organisation at Ima Panthoibi Sanglen, Nambol Naorem, as part of the month-long observance of the 191 National Reconsolidation Month. The event was held under the theme “Eikhoi Amuk Hanna Khuntaklaroisi.”
During the event, Nongthombam Rupachandra, UPF President, remarked, “After seven years of devastation, our courageous forefathers successfully reclaimed Manipur from the Awas. Today, there are concerns that a situation similar to that of seven-year devastation could occur again, given the current situation in Manipur. To prevent such an outcome, we are organizing discussions in various areas, and we will continue to hold such programs in more locations.”
As part of the program, floral tributes were paid to the portrait of Meidingu Gambhir Singh. The event was also attended by Hijam Priyokumar, President of CADA, and Naorem Manglemba from the Naorem Youth Library and Development Organisation.
