15th National Voters Day celebrated across different districts

The District Election Office Kakching celebrated the 15th National Voters’ Day (NVD) 2025 today under the theme “Nothing Like Voting, I Vote For Sure” at the Community Hall of DC Office Complex, Kakching.
The event was attended by Rohit Anand, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of Kakching and District Election Officer, as the Chief Guest, and Nikita Thangjam, District Social Welfare Officer and Nodal Officer of SVEEP, as the President.
During the programme, Rohit Anand distributed EPIC cards and T-shirts to newly enrolled voters in the Electoral Roll. A National Voters’ Day pledge was administered to all the attendees of the event.
Gifts were also distributed to different Booth Level Officers (BLOs) of the district as a token of appreciation for their hard work and dedication.
Kherdananda Potsangbam, ERO of 36-Wabagai, was awarded the Best Electoral Registration Officer Award by the Chief Electoral Officer, Manipur.
The 15th NVD was observed from 24 to 25 January 2025 at the Science Seminar Hall of United College. This program was organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in collaboration with the District Election Officer of Chandel District. Over the course of two days, a quiz competition was successfully conducted, with prizes awarded to the participants by the Chief Guest, Mohd Feroz Khan, ADC of Chandel District.
On the closing day, the Chief Guest also delivered a lecture on the election literacy campaign and the challenges currently faced by the department. The Chief Guest administered a mass National Voters’ pledge. The event was presided over by Dr. Bd Thumdal, Principal of United College, Lambung, Chandel, and Dr. N. Munal Meitei, District Forest Officer of Chandel as Guest of Honour,. The National Observance was attended by teachers, non-teaching staff, students, NCC cadets, and other invitees.
The NVD observation was also organized at South East Manipur College, Komlathabi.
NVD 2025 was also celebrated at Jiribam with Deputy Commissioner, Jiribam and District Election Officer, Krishna Kumar, IAS as Chief Guest.
The programme was organized by District Election Office, Jiribam. Additional Deputy Commissioner Th. Manoranjan Singh, Electoral Registration Officer / Sub-Divisional Officer Laishram Roshan Singh, AEROs, SDCs, Branch Officers of DC Office Jiribam also attended the function among others.
Speaking on the occasion, Krishna Kumar stated that the main objective of the celebration is to encourage young and first time voters to take part in the electoral process. He also added that Right to Vote is a right enshrined in the Indian Constitution and we should all feel proud to be part of this system .
Interacting with the first time voters, he stated that youth should be more prompt in taking opportunities that come to them and also added that casting is of vote is mandatory for everyone whose name is enrolled in the electoral roll.
The district administration of Tamenglong along with CSO, youth organization, media houses, academic institutions and district level officers today celebrate 15th National Voters’ Day (NVD) at SDO Office Conference Hall, Tamenglong district headquarter.
D. Meidinbui MCS, Electoral Registration Officer/SDO Tamenglong lead the 15th National Voters day. In his opening statement he stated that the main theme of the NVD is to create electoral awareness among the citizens and encourage them to participate in the elections.
Further Chunglenmang MCS, ADM, Tamenglong stated that we should try to exercise our right to vote during elections with fair and a clear conscience so that the best candidates win the elections. He also said that Election is also a legitimus test for all the government employees to serve the common people for free and fair elections.
