Assam Rifles apprehended two Rebel cadres belonging to armed group KYKL and PLA. As per an official released from the Assam Rifles the KYKL cadre was arrested from Waikong are in Kakching District on March 31. While the cadre of the banned outfit Peoples Liberation Army (PLA) was arrested New Bazar Bus stand of Churachandpur District.
The two were arrested during a combined operation with the Manipur police and the Assam Rifles, the statement said.
The arrested active KYKL Cadre has been handed over to Hiyanglam Police Station for further investigation and necessary legal action. While the apprehended PLA cadre has been handed over to Churachandpur Police Station for further investigation, the statement of the Assam Rifle said.
