Unwanted text message is also a form of harassment!

Dear Sir,

The capability of a man is never-ending potential. The recent widespread news of a man in his fifties verbally harassing a woman in her twenty’s through a Facebook messenger chat is still burning. During this chaotic scenario taking place to make the mass population become aware of the issue by the youths some of the well known public figures are also trying to shadow away from the particular burning issue, by upholding perspectives based on certain cases which are not related to gender-based harassment and assault. It is saddened to see the misogynistic behaviour acted by these well-known cultivated minds. It is solidified for them to acknowledge that they are sabotaging themselves, their work, and their image in the eyes of the youths.

Detailed information of the incident:  Ms. X said that she knew Mr. Y after meeting him up for a research work that took place at Mr. Y‘s residence. It is pretty obvious that Mr.Y and Ms. X are professionally work-related colleagues. The incident happened four days back when Mr. Y was intoxicated with alcohol and texted Ms.X  as “Yu Ngaoriye” which meant “I am drunk” around 11:30 pm. As shown by Ms. X  in the screenshot photo of the chat with Mr. Y it is clearly visible that she told him that it was quite inappropriate for him to send her such messages. But regardless of what he has done Mr. Y simply act naïve and tried to terminate himself from the issue on an unverified ground as his account was “hacked”. Later on, Mr. Y updated a post referring to it as an “unqualified apology” to Ms. Y which was quite provoking not only to Ms. Y but to every woman.

Ms. X has every right under the law to owe an apology from Mr. Y for sending offensive messages. It is also said by Ms. X  that she doesn’t have any animosity towards Mr. Y and she also requested to the public not to drag in any other personal hatred or issue which is not related to the present case or any sexual harassment caused by Mr. Y or any other similar cases.

The present issue should be a remarkable influence for the polluted, corrupted, and sexually distorted minds regardless of ages and gender to take a step forward in making a cleaner place for all to dive in.

Yours
