KPC elects new team for 2019-22

Solomon Sha (2nd right), Vice President; Ozunglemba Jamir (right), Joint Secretary; Atono Tsükrü (left), General Secretary and Rüülhoutuonuo Theünuo (2nd left), Treasurer with Oken Jeet Sandham (center), Chief Election Commissioner and HK Chishi (3rd left), Election Commissioner of KPC Election 2019 after the their Elections on May 17, 2019 at the NSF Conference Hall.

The Kohima Press Club (KPC) conducted its General Election for the tenure 2019-22 on 17th May 2019 at the NSF Conference Hall.
The new team of the Club’s Executive Council is Alice Yhoshü (Nagaland Today) – President; Ng. Solomon Sha (Nagaland Post) - Vice President; Atono Tsükrü (Freelancer) - General Secretary; Rüülhoutuonuo Theünuo (AIR) - Treasurer and Ozunglemba Jamir (Central Cable) as Joint Secretary.
Altogether, 46 members of the Club attended the proceedings while 36 Regular Members exercised their voting right.

Assam Rifles Organizes Career Guidance Workshop in Ukhrul

Somsai Battalion of 10 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) organised a one day career counseling workshop at Ukhrul on Yesterday 2019. The workshop was conducted as an interactive session with students interacting with Mr Ranjan Kumar Baruah, a professional counsellor, recipient of National Youth Award and Founder of North-East Youth Foundation. The students of class 12th and various other colleges in Ukhrul were provided guidance and expertise towards various career options available to them. Over 350 students attended the workshop and interacted with Mr Barua and other domain experts one on one thus providing an in-depth insight into various career opportunities available to them. 

\The participants were elucidated about the significance of career planning, goal setting and confidence building. Various scholarship schemes, CSR fellowships and essentials of entrepreneurship were also explained and discussed in detail during the interaction.

The students were seen engrossed deeply during the seminar, enquiring about the career options in various streams, institutions available and timeline to apply for the same. The school and college authorities conveyed their heartfelt gratitude to Assam Rifles for organising such a unique workshop for the benefit of students in such remote areas.
