Dear Babina Diagnostics,
As we know, you are reputed in the field of medicine.
That, I the undersigned have the honour to state that, my sister by the name Ngahneilam alias Neilam Gangte had undergone a test related to cancer. Just two days back your esteemed office had hand-out false report. Her reference no. was 24-08-2015 bearing a name of Ngahneilam Gangte with a reference no. of 105/15. Unfortunately, with a life and death situation, your esteemed office handed out a false information not even known to us, bearing a reference no. H_6776/15. How is this even possible?
Are you playing with human lives, or does it come to your concern about the well beings of the sufferings?
With this situation, I am compelled to make a complaint to whomsoever concerned. This is a matter of life and death. Now, my sister after going under test from your reputed office is suffering in the capital, and since her report was false none of the doctors there could accept her medical report.
Expecting a quick response from your side.
Regards,
David Letgouiien Gangte,
Ex-Editor,
Eimi Times.

We are deeply shocked at Mr. David Letgouiien Gangte’s “Open Letter to BABINA Diagnostics” published in Imphal Times and the serious allegation of we handing out wrong reports in his sister’s case. While we can understand Mr. David’s ineptitude in comprehending the implication of diagnostic reports as complex as “Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma” and “CD, 20 Positive” (the diagnoses in his sister’s two reports issued by us), what we fail to understand is why he chose to post his wild, baseless allegation in an online newspaper like Imphal Times (and subsequently shared by Imphal Times on its Facebook page) instead of seeking an official explanation from us. The least we could have done was give him a basic explanation why we need to have two reference numbers for two separate tests done on two different dates. The reference no. H 6776/15 is for Histopathology Exam (Small) and the reference no. IHC 105/15 is for Immunohistochemistry Marker, CD 20, both conducted from the same biopsy block of Mr. David’s sister. These are two completely different tests, done on two different dates and hence carry different IDs for reference. To call the two reports false on the basis of them having different reference IDs and the treating doctors refusing the medical reports because of that is unjustified. We still stand by the diagnosis given in the two reports. Having said that, we wish to impress upon Mr. David that our reputation has been maligned by his baseless allegations and that we might be compelled to take up a legal course of action if he does not tender a public apology.

The Management,
BABINA Diagnostics
