With the latest high court ruling it is established that justice is there in RIMS and that a handful of scheming persons cannot run the institute as their fiefdom. Though there is no Rule or Regulation some befuddled officials had “relieved” the Director. Now they will be required to issue an order in this regard within 3 weeks failing which Sekharjit shall discharge the duties as the director. Those officials involved in the illegal act should be pulled up and punished by reflecting in their service records. Sekharjit has the onerous task of saving Dental college and RIMS as well. The tendentious charges should also be dispelled. Instead Dental college should be revamped and hospital administration spruced up. The health minister and his senior officials in charge of RIMS ought to examine the shaddy goings on in this college of the 7 NE states. It is to be hoped that senior officials will be camping in Imphal for one week as per directives of the prime minister and during their sojourn they should interact with knowledgeable persons to put RIMS, Dental college and Nursing college back on rails. Everything should be done so that admission in Dental college is allowed immediately. The RIMS administration should have informed the public through press releases on the high court ruling. But so far the media cell has failed to do so. It should not be about Sekharjit alone but the three colleges and students of the region. One of the priorities of Sekharjit should be to make the media cell functional in the real sense of the term so that the people are informed of the developments without bias.
