Religion is hardly separable from politics here. All our people in India and rest of South Asia are very sensitive about their religion.
US is predominantly white Presbyterian Christian leadership. Have we ever seen a Hindu or a Jew or a Muslim as US president or Vice President? The people party and Church won’t allow. Military academic industry Church complex will not allow this to happen.
Many people have been proposing the idea of Kamala Harris or Niki Haley as a future President. The idea of having a woman or even more so a black woman or a non Christian woman like Kamala Haris( of Indian origin) and Niki Haley( born in a Sikh family) is hardly acceptable to the prejudiced Christian elite of US. At the primaries, they may be defeated as in the case of Bernie Sanders( Jewish Democrat senator, one of the oldest senators) and TulsiGabbard( first Hindu presidential candidate). Electoral college also rejected Coorie Booker and others whom the elite didn’t like.
So who after Biden? Democrats will want a white Christian like Biden as candidate. Same goes for Republicans. All talk of social justice is only for political purposes.
The US needs to introspect. It left behind helpless people in Afghanistan and Iraq. It’s wars and empire has always failed and has been built to serve the elite interests only. US citizens should not be bowled over by rhetoric of change. Biden’s intentions are noble but the system will not allow him to cause reform. After all, for one month what advice were Secretary of State, NSA, Military, CIA giving him that US had to flee Afghanistan desperately with only handful staff. So many people clung on planes of US Air Force and fell to their deaths. No compensation was paid to their families. How unaccountable and brutal can US be to non White and non Christian people?
Several Indian-Americans were rooting for the Joe Biden-Kamala Harris duo in the elections. But they as well as all non White and non Christian people only aim to serve their interest. In fact, all of them were future cementing the Leftists and Islamist lobby, which is a huge vote bank for Democrats.
Harris, Jaypal, Ilhan Omar, Sanders and others have raised many questions against Indian sovereignty and security . They have a disdain for non White people and are not bothered about helping them.
We must stand up to forces that seek to destroy us or be destroyed.
