ILP movement: Is the JCILP in the right direction?

The sudden change in the government strategy to deal with the ongoing problem of the JCILP is going to have serious impact. After September 8 unfortunate incidents at which the members of the JCLIP had taken the law into their hand by assaulting a person identified as Yegkhom Davson, the government is moving towards a direction in a regrettable manner.Saying so, the assault of Yengkhom Davson has not been justified, even if his behaviour was not satisfactory. The member of the JCILP does not have the license to assault anybody whether he may be a non-local or a local. The JCILP members should not have poured out their anger when the law enforcers arrested the members who were involved to the assault of Davson as this little unrelated issue may sabotage the rightful demand of the general public. They should remember that people support the agitation because the issue is felt right and this does not meant that people will support in any illegal activities committed by them. The only problem arising now is Yengkhom Davson happen to be the elder brother of an Additional SP of the state police department. In one sense the additional SP Y. Victoria has acted timely and his action should be appreciated by all. But it is not clear whether she is taking revenge or performing duty. If suppose it was another person will she acted the same way?Now after the incident there seems to be no one among the leaders of the JCILP who could control the anger of its members from going to the wrong direction. Bringing in the unwanted incident and co-relating it with the genuine issue of demand for ILP is not right. It is a fact that both the government and the JCILP do not have much different to the issue of introducing a legislation to check the influx in the state. This is a humble observation in view of the decision taken by the state government in state assembly session as well as the convening of a state level committee to look into the issue. When the government felt it justified to the demand of the JCILP they should take some immediate visible action to avoid any unwanted development out of the movement. The raid to the office of the JCILP and the arrest of the members (those not involve in assaulting Davson) is not going to be the solution. It will only fuel the anger of the general public.
