State BJP leaders meeting with Central leadership – some unexpected may happen

No one knows why the Chief Minister of Manipur N. Biren Singh along with the BJP Manipur Pradesh President A. Sarda Devi and Minister Th. Biswajit has to rush at Delhi, at a time when the state is in trouble water over the brutal killings of social Activist Athuan Abonmai on September 22. Media report said the BJP functionaries have been invited for discussion of the election preparation which is just around 6 months left. However, unofficial discussion among the media fraternity says that the central leadership felt belittle to the public protest over the brutal killings of Athuan Abonmai, and as this incident may stand as an obstacle to the electoral strategy of the BJP.
Sources say the meeting of the Central BJP leaders and the state BJP leaders at this crucial moment will be a serious one. It said that this meeting may finalized on who will lead the election campaign for the BJP besides making a preliminary list of candidates for the BJP to nominate in the 60 Assembly Constituencies of Manipur. The meeting may also take a decision on the issues that the BJP is going to fight in the upcoming election.
Last time it was the prolonged band and blockade in both National Highways that connect Manipur with the rest of the states of this country as well as the unsettled conflict over the demand for introduction of the ILPS in the state. Not only this but the rampant corruption, drugs and law and order are also some of the major issues that the BJP fought the election in Manipur. The party manages to win in 21 seats and with supports from NPP, NPF, TCM and 2 MLAs one from Congress and another an Independent candidate from the government.
The souring relation between the Hill and Plain people was slowly bridged and people started believing the government except in some cases.
Leaving aside the movement for the replacement of Chief Minister N. Biren Singh, the government proceeds in smooth manners when it comes to the implementation of some major issues like taking up developmental projects for the people. Adversaries happen in every party and the midway uproar from among the dissident MLAs of the BJP MLAs for replacement CM is a common phenomenon of every political party. So, it ended and for 4 and half years the government runs peacefully until the brutal murder of Athuan Abonmai by miscreants. The murder happened on an important day of the BJP led Government and it occurred more like political assassination which is more like a warning to the BJP.
Whatever is discussed among the BJP leaders of the state as well as the center is not going to leak out for sure. But this meeting will definitely decide the fate of the BJP Manipur and its leadership.
