India should Act to the crisis in Myanmar

May be Prime Minister of India and his cabinet colleague are busy playing a hard game to make sure that the BJP wins in all states conducting election and due to the pre occupation, the Government of India still is not giving a concrete stand on the present crisis that is going on in Myanmar.
But the reality is that the silence of the government of India over the Myanmar issue may give an impact on the near future as it is likely that even if the Tatmadaw manage to run the government after suppressing the Myanmar pro-democrat people, the relationships between India and other countries which are openly criticizing, even by imposing sanction to the Military run government may land in big trouble.
It is a fact that China’s stand on Myanmar is clear and they had already given an indication about their support to the Myanmar Military government. As India’s stand is not clear following the various statement from both the Ministry of External Affairs as well as by the Home Minister himself, it is likely that India will never be able to have a closer relationship with Myanmar Military than China is establishing. The World knows the bitter relationship with China. And India too knows the aggressive attitude of China which is trying to control the whole of the Asian nation through any means. China’s attempt to occupy the territory of India many times, leaving aside the Doklam and Leh confrontation. There were reports of China’s intrusion into the Indian Territory and construction of over 300 houses in the Indo- Myanmar area in Arunachal Pradesh.
India has also already shown its bitter ties with China by even walking out of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnerships (RCEP). RCEP’s main objective is to create an integrated market with 15 countries after India’s walkout. Those countries which signed the RCEP are the 10 ASEAN countries and China, Japan, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand. The agreement was signed during the 37th ASEAN Summit hosted by Vietnam which was conducted virtually. India knows that China’s main agenda of the RCEP and on November 4 , 2019, India already pull out.
US, EU, Australia, Japan, South Korea has already announced their stand over the development in Myanmar. The United Nations Security Council has condemned and even warn of civil war. The reason for the UN Security Council’s to act on Myanmar maybe because of China and Russia’s intervention, as both the countries are permanent members of the UN Security Council.
Having understood the paradigm shift of the development inside China, India should be aware that Myanmar’s Military will be always in favour of China. If Myanmar restored democracy, there is a possibility of India building good relation with India.
The assumption about the Military regime to be friendly with India will not work and the ambitious project of India – Act East Policy may also land in catastrophe if the Military continues to rule the country.
The urgent need for India towards Myanmar is to give all support to the pro democrats and imposed sanction on the military regime. The Adani Group which had allegedly provide monetary assistance to a Military run company called Myanmar Economic Corporation should be immediately stopped and the Government of India should immediately order the INFOSYS to stop providing technical service to the Myanmar Military’s regime.
Humanitarian aids to Mynmarese pro-democrats agitators is not enough, India should act tough to the gross violation of Human Rights by the Military Junta at the earliest, instead of waiting for the election result that is being held at many states including Assam, West Bengal, Kerala, Tamil Nadu etc.
India being a superpower, saving Myanmar at this time of crisis will benefit a lot either in the implementation of the Act East Policy or the internal security of the North East states.
