As the dates of poll comes closer for the General Election to 18th Lok Sabha, 2024 in respect of 40-Jiribam Assembly Segment of 2-Outer Manipur (ST) Parliamentary Constituency, the District Election Officer, Jiribam conducted multiple training programme for the BLOs and ASHA/Anganwadi Workers at the Conference Hall and Training hall of DC Office, Jiribam today.
In today’s training programme on the role and responsibility of Booth Level Officers before polls and on poll day, the District Election Officer, Jiribam Krishna Kumar, IAS briefed about the provision of AMF (Assured Minimum Facilities), cleaning the premises of Polling stations ahead of polls, provision of drinking water for polling personnel, sanitation, assisting polling personnel in setting up the poll equipments, queue management, help desk, identification and assisting the PWDs.
On the other hand, the DEO briefed about the role and responsibility of Anganwadi workers at the time of medical emergency and identification of female electors during the poll. He also instructed the ASHA/Anganwadi workers to check the premises of Polling stations to ensure cleanliness and to assist the Differently Abled Voters by providing wheel chairs. He also thanked the officials and the trainees for their cooperation and commitment shown to the District Election Office, Jiribam.
40 each of BLOs and Anganwadi Workers were imparted training by the Master trainers of the District Election Office, Jiribam.
The training programme was also attended by and Assistant Returning Officer/ ADC, Jiribam, Thokchom Manoranjan Singh, MCS, Nodal Officer for the Welfare of Polling personnel Th. Amurashi Chanu, Yumlembam Sanathoi, Jr. MCS and Supervisor, Social Welfare, Takhelmayum Inaobi Devi.
