State nurses join nation-wide stir for implementation of 7th Pay Commission

Manipur joined the nation-wide strike called by the All India Nurses Federation against the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission. The main event in the state- a sit in protest was held at Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) which was participated by more than 30 nurses of RIMS hospital today. Speaking to media persons, Y. Sundari- the representative of the protesting nurses said that 15 more days of agitation will be carried out if their demands for all benefits as per the Seventh Pay Commission recommendations were not implemented immediately.
However the agitation will not affect their duty and in RIMS environment, she added.
