20 Battalion CRPF organised a 10 KM Mini Marathon at Borobekra, Jiribam, on 07 September 2026 at 0600 hours under the aegis of MN Sector CRPF and in collaboration with Sports Authority of India as part of its efforts -SPANDAN to promote fitness, sportsmanship, unity and positive engagement with the local youth.
A total of 159 youth enrolled through online and offline modes, out of whom 108 participants took part in the race and 106 successfully completed it. Notably, 17 female participants enthusiastically participated and completed the race. All participants, including the female participants, were provided certificates of participation.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation and was attended by prominent residents and important members of the local community, who appreciated the initiative. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd position holders were felicitated with Cash prizes, Certificates and Medals.
The Commanding Officer, 20 Bn CRPF, along with other officers, remained present and played an instrumental role in the successful conduct of the mega sporting event in the hinterland.
The event reflected CRPF’s continued commitment towards youth engagement, fitness, community participation and strengthening the bond between security forces and the local population.
