The Manipur State Film and Television Institute (MSFTI), under the Department of Art and Culture, Government of Manipur, is organising a 20-day Film Appreciation Course from August 1 to 20 at its Classroom Theatre, Palace Gate, Imphal.
The course will be conducted in collaboration with the International Federation of Film Critics-India (FIPRESCI-India) as part of MSFTI’s ongoing efforts to promote film education and equip aspiring filmmakers with both fundamental and advanced knowledge of cinema.
According to a notification issued by MSFTI Director Angom Shijalembi Chanu (MCS), application forms will be available at the institute’s office from July 22 to 29 during office hours (10 am to 4 pm). The last date for submission of completed application forms, along with the required documents and registration fee, is July 30.
The registration fee has been fixed at Rs 500 for the general category, Rs 450 for OBC candidates and Rs 300 for other reserved categories.
In a press release, the institute stated that film appreciation plays a vital role in promoting film education and quality filmmaking. It added that the course is intended to provide participants with a deeper understanding of various aspects of cinema through structured learning and interaction.
