Moreh groups submit memorandum to Governor

Representatives of the Tamil Sangam, Gorkha Sena, and the Manipuri Muslim Council, Moreh, on Tuesday called on Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla and submitted a memorandum highlighting the hardships faced by residents of the border town.

The delegation pointed to the shortage of medical professionals, inadequate availability of medicines, and the scarcity of essential commodities caused by the ongoing economic blockade. They also expressed concern over the rising prices of essential goods and urged the Governor to take necessary measures to address the situation.

Earlier, Prof. Krishnan Baskar, Director of the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Senapati, and Kailun Lupheng, IPS, Managing Director of the Manipur Police Housing Corporation Ltd., met the Governor and briefed him on the institute’s ongoing initiatives and developmental activities. They also discussed infrastructure development and other key areas of institutional interest.
