Irom Chanu Sharmila, who has been on hunger against the imposition of AFSPA in the state, has been produced before the court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Imphal West today morning at around 11.
Speaking to media persons, Irom Sharmila expressed her disappointment over the State government for taking too much time in fulfilling the people’s movement against the AFSPA.
Expressing her displeasure over the Indian government’s attitude towards her agitation, Sharmila said that she has been on hunger strike more than one and half decade against the imposition of AFSPA, but her democratic agitation is not being honored by the Indian government.
She further appealed to people of the state to work together and sincerely until the “people’s goal of repealing AFSPA” is being achieved.
During the season of the court S Bemola Kumari, former CMO Imphal west was conducted crossed examined. Next hearing will conduct on October 12.
Sharmila will leave Imphal on date October 5 to appear for hearing at New Delhi’s Patiala Court.
