The proscribed Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) has brought out the latest issue of its biannual journal, “Lanthengminasi Eikhoi (Ningtham Pantha),” according to a statement issued by S. Mangal, Secretary (Information and Publicity) of the outfit.
The statement said that the new edition carries a series of articles and ideological discussions on political, historical, and social issues. The editorial of the journal focuses on the demolition of the Red Land Building in Shillong, which once served as the Manipur Rajbari, questioning the circumstances surrounding its destruction.
Other chapters in the journal include discussions on the concept of “Liberated Consciousness”, the party’s ideological development under the theme “Yawol Mai Paktriphaoba Anouba Lallong”, and an analysis of Marxism and Democratic Centralism as guiding principles of party organisation.
The publication also features essays on Hijam Irabot, examining his role and relevance in contemporary times, and an article on Manipur’s historical ties with India through the legacy of the Redlands Rajbari.
Additionally, the journal covers topics such as Meitei–Shan relations, the digitization of the Manipuri language, the current situation in Ladakh under Sonam Wangchuk’s leadership, and a linguistic exploration of decolonization and de-Indianization through the Manipuri language. Another piece traces the philosophical journey of socialism as a foundation for human development from antiquity to the modern era.
The KCP stated that the publication aims to serve as an ideological platform reflecting the organisation’s perspective on socio-political issues affecting Manipur and the region.
