The 7th Taorem Kulachandra Memorial Merit Award 2025 was presented today to successful candidates of Class X and XII (BOSEM, COHSEM, CBSE) from Khumbong at a felicitation programme organized at the IWSC Community Hall. The event was jointly organized by the Taorem Family and Friday Chuhing under the aegis of the Imphal West Students’ Club (IWSC), Khumbong.
Dr. Yaikhomba Taorem, Managing Director of Angel Hospital, Uripok, donated the awards, which were given in memory of Taorem Kulachandra.
Keisham Meghachandra Singh, President of the Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC), attended the function as Chief Guest. The programme was presided over by Dr. Thokchom Meinya, former Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha). Guest of Honours included Silomi Sanjenbam, Director of SS Career Solution, and Wahengbam Anand Singh, President of the Manipur Pradesh Youth Congress Committee (MPYCC).
Several eminent personalities, including advisors, educationists, and community leaders, were invited as Special Invitees of Honour. The event featured motivational speeches, cultural presentations, and the distribution of awards to meritorious students.
The felicitation programme aimed to encourage academic excellence and inspire the younger generation of Khumbong to pursue higher education with dedication.
