The Governor of Manipur, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, convened a comprehensive review meeting today at Raj Bhavan, Imphal, for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) residing in various relief camps across the state. The meeting attended by Chief Secretary, Deputy Commissioner of Imphal West, and other senior officials discussed various initiatives and activities being taken up for the IDP by the State administration.
During the presentation, officials briefed the Governor on the management of IDPs through a dedicated portal. The discussions highlighted the government’s commitment for enhancing coordination and delivering public services effectively.
On the same day, a delegation from the Naga People’s Organisation, led by H. Kuba Peter and accompanied by six other members, met the Governor at Raj Bhavan. The group submitted a memorandum urging the implementation of three major projects aimed at improving connectivity and developing infrastructure in their district. They also highlighted preparations and community initiatives for the successful organization of the upcoming Barak River Festival.
The Governor gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured them that the concerns raised would be addressed.
