Student Martyr Pebam Chitaranjan who had self immolated in protest against the draconian act Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) 1958 on this day in 2014 was remembered today by paying fitting tribute at his martyrdom at Takhellambam Leikai Imphal. A memorial function was organised by the Manipur Students’ Federation (MSF) to pay tribute to the departed student leaders. Pebam Chitaranjan self immolated in protest against the draconian act AFSPA at Bishnupur Keithel on this day of 2004.
