Large number of people from Konjeng leikai area today tried to storm to the residence of Dr. Praneshwori, who was alleged to be responsible for the death of a lady after delivering a baby at RIMS hospital yesterday. However, locals of Heirangoithong Aheibam leikai prevented them at the entry of the lane as they fear unwanted consequences if the people were allowed to enter the residence of the doctor. A team of police too arrived at the spot to prevent any unwanted incident arisen out of the situation.
Before proceeding to the residence of the doctor, the people of Konjeng Leikai held a meeting at around 7.30 am today morning at the community Hall of WILL Club. MLA RK Anand also reportedly attended the meeting and suggested the JAC members to settle the problem amicably.
After the people of the Kongjeng Leikai were not allowed to meet the doctor, they later went to RIMS morgue where the Post Mortem of the lady is being conducted. MLA RK Anand had assured to include a doctor of the JAC’s choice during the Post Mortem to clear all doubts.
