A gunfight took place between 2/5 Gurkha Regiment and Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) cadres in the general areas of Taoringpung village near L Khunou at Khoupum under Tamenglong district on Wednesday at around 6 am.
According to report, two cadres of ZUF were injured in the encounter and 7 AK-47 were reportedly recovered by the Gurkha Regiment troopers from the encounter site.
Security force reinforce at the site and conduct search operation to hunt down the militants.
