The Hericon District Committee of Jiribam successfully organized a quiz competition today, fostering a spirit of learning and cultural awareness among students.
The event took place at the RK Sanatombi Vidyalaya campus, drawing participants from various schools across the district.
Themed “Khangminasi Eramdam,” the quiz aimed to highlight and promote the rich cultural heritage of Manipur.
This initiative underscores the committee’s commitment to educating the younger generation about their roots and traditions.
Senjam Sainik Singh, the president of HERICON’s Jiribam District branch, addressed the media, emphasizing the significance of the competition. “Our objective is to make students aware of the cultural heritage of Manipur,” he stated. “By encouraging them to engage with their history, we hope to instill a sense of pride and responsibility towards their culture.”
A total of 48 teams participated in the quiz, each consisting of three students. The diverse representation from different schools showcased the enthusiasm and competitive spirit among the youth of Jiribam.
Winners of the competition will be announced and awarded prizes on May 16, coinciding with the foundation day of Hericon.
This event promises to further celebrate the achievements of the students and encourage continued participation in cultural events.
