The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) extended its strong support to the central government and the Indian armed forces for what it described as a decisive response under “Operation Sindoor” following the recent attack on unarmed Hindu tourists in Pahalgam.
In a statement issued by Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat and Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale, the RSS congratulated the national leadership and security forces for what it termed a firm step to bring justice to the victims and their families. The organisation said the operation, launched in response to what it called a cowardly act by Pakistan-sponsored terrorists and their ecosystem, had boosted the morale and self-respect of the entire nation.
The RSS further maintained that military action targeting terrorists, their infrastructure and supporting elements across the border was both necessary and inevitable to ensure national security. It stated that the whole country stood united behind the government and the armed forces during this hour of national crisis.
Condemning the attacks allegedly carried out by the Pakistani army on religious sites and civilian settlements along the border, the organisation expressed deep condolences to the families affected by what it called barbaric and inhuman acts.
The RSS appealed to citizens to strictly follow government and administrative instructions and to remain vigilant against any attempts by anti-national elements to disturb social unity and harmony. It also urged the public to demonstrate patriotism and readiness to support the armed forces and civic bodies in maintaining national unity and security.
