AMDDA urges Governor to establish schools for economically weaker sections, welfare schemes for farmers

Members of the All Manipur Dalit Development Association (AMDDA), an organization dedicated to the welfare of economically weaker sections, met with the Governor of Manipur, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, at Raj Bhavan today.
Speaking to reporters outside the Raj Bhavan gate following the meeting, AMDDA President Dr. T.M. Rajen Ayangba revealed that the association had urged the Governor to establish schools in every district of the state to support economically weaker communities. Dr. Ayangba emphasized the need for accessible education to uplift marginalized sections of society.
The association also called on the Governor to implement welfare schemes aimed at improving the economic conditions of farmers across the state. Dr. Ayangba highlighted the importance of such initiatives in boosting agricultural productivity and the overall well-being of farmers.
Dr. Ayangba mentioned that a Dalit School has already been established in Senapati and is nearing completion. The Governor assured the AMDDA of plans to establish similar schools in all districts of Manipur. Additionally, the Governor promised to deliberate on potential welfare programs for farmers, signaling a positive response to the association’s appeals.
The AMDDA expressed optimism about the Governor’s assurances and remains committed to advocating for the betterment of economically disadvantaged communities in the state.
