Imphal, Oct 22:

Chief Minister N. Biren Singh took to social media platform ‘X’ to showcase two major projects in Senapati District that are set to transform the region’s educational and infrastructural landscape. In his post, the Chief Minister expressed excitement about the ongoing development of the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Mayangkhang and a groundbreaking multi-level parking facility, both aimed at significantly improving the district’s future prospects.
“Delighted to share the progress of two significant projects in Senapati District that are poised to bring transformative change,” Singh wrote on ‘X.’ He highlighted that the IIIT Mayangkhang, a prestigious institution of higher education, will offer world-class learning opportunities, opening up new avenues for the youth in the region. Alongside this, the construction of a multi-level parking facility—the first of its kind in Manipur—promises to improve infrastructure and address transportation challenges.
Photos of the ongoing construction of both projects accompanied his post, giving the public a glimpse of the upcoming developments.
The IIIT Mayangkhang is expected to become a beacon of educational excellence in the hill district, catering to the aspirations of the local youth by providing advanced courses and opportunities. Singh underscored that the institute will not only broaden the academic horizons of students but will also boost socio-economic development in the area by creating new career pathways.
In addition to educational progress, the multi-level parking facility is a landmark project for Manipur, being the first of its kind in the state. Designed to ease congestion and provide an organized solution to parking challenges, this facility will be a key infrastructure upgrade as Senapati District continues to grow and urbanize.
“These projects are not merely about physical development; they reflect our broader vision for a bright and prosperous future for the hill districts of the state,” Singh stated, reiterating his government’s commitment to improving the quality of life in Manipur’s hill areas.
The Chief Minister’s post highlighted the government’s broader vision for the holistic development of the hill districts, with both projects symbolizing a commitment to progress and prosperity in Senapati and beyond.
