A team of Imphal East Police today conducted combing operation at Checkon area near Palace Compound and Namthaibung area at around 6 am today as a part of security measures ahead of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit in the state. Around 300 person were verified at spot and around 10 persons were picked up by the police team for further verification. On the other hand a team of Imphal West also conducted search operation at Sangaiprou area along the Tiddim road. The police team pick up five suspected person for verification after finding them without proper documents.
