A team of Manipur State Commission for Women led by its chairperson Dr. L. Ibetombi Devi along with Shri S. Meghachandra Sharma, Legal Advisor, Miss I. Inaobi Devi, Smt. L. Somala Devi Counsellors of the Commission conducted a spot inquiry at the residence of Shri Taorem Shyamkishore Singh of Ningthoukhong Ward No. 11 in connection with the suicide death of Km. Heikrumam Maya @ Binotarani Devi who was found death on 22/09/2014 at 8:30am at the residence of her maternal grandfather.The visiting team interacted with the grandparents of the deceased and local people assembled at the residence of the said Shri Shyamkishore Singh.The deceased girl with her three younger brother and sister and mother had been living at the residence of her grandparent after separation of her mother from her father namely Heikrujam Ojit Singh of Malom Tuliyaima near Airport for the last many years.At present no person are coming from her father’s side, told by the local persons of Ningthoukhong.
