Imphal, Nov 24: The 5th International Tourism Mart -2016 was held today at City Convention auditorium, Palace Compound. The grand occasion was attended by Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh, Vinod Zutshi, Secretary (Tourism) Govt. of India, O Nabakishore, Chief Secretary of Manipur , Dr. RK Bhatnagar, Addl. Director General, Ministry of Tourism and other official od the Tourism department and the media persons from across the country and the state.
Speaking on the occasion Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh elaborated the rich cultural heritage of the state and its potential to pull tourist from across the world.
The chief Minister further added that the state of Manipur recorded a total of 3,260 foreign tourist in the year 2015 and 2,769 in 2017 at which he term a growth of 17.73 %. He also draw the attention of the delegates sating that the state is also a destiny of various domestic tourists.
