ST Demand Committee appeals to postpone recruitment exam of govt dept on September 18

Co-ordinating committee ST Demand Committee and Schedule Tribe Demand Committee (STDC) appealed the state government to postpone the recruitment process for various post in the government department as the day is coincided with the propose rally of the Scheduled Tribe Demand Committee. The STDC is organising a mass rally on September 18 to demand inclusion of Meetei/Meitei in the Scheduled Tribe category.
Speaking to the media person at Manipur press club, convenor of the Co-ordinating committee for ST Demand Committee, Mutum Churamani said that the public rally is being plan on September 18 in consultation with various leaders of the civil society. As the rally is for the people if the state the government should postpone all sort of recruitment process as all section of the people may able to join the rally which is scheduled to begin from THAO ground Thangmeiband. The rally will march till Khuman Lampak main stadium where a public meeting will be organised.
He also appealed not to called any general strike on this day.

Govt should postpond in relation to proposed rally otherwise it turn out to be an intense agitation.
