Imphal, July 7: Officials of Department of Arts and Culture ensured that Manipur University of Culture should begin functioning within the month of August. However there is no confirmation yet about how many departments will be opened and which departments would be open. Interestingly the recruitment of teachers of the university is still under process.
Speaking to media persons during the interaction programme held at DIPR the official of the Department of Arts and Culture said that for the post of the teachers of the Manipur University of Culture, 200 applicants have submitted their application forms however they failed to indicate in which departments the applicants applied. The officials said that the recruitment process will be conducted at the earliest before the academic season commence.
The officials of the department further stated that due to lack of fund the department has been facing lot of problems in development work and protection of the areas of historical monuments. The vacancy of teachers of the 3 government undertaking institutions will be soon recruited.
