ITI students begin indefinite fasting

Imphal, June 2: Demanding to withdraw state government’s decision to relocate ITI, Takyelpat at Imphal East, four students of the institute have launched indefinite fast-unto-death at ITI premise from today afternoon 12.
The student protestors, who were identified as Thiyam Sainikumar, General Secretary of ITI Students’ Union; Thokchom Milan of Heirok Part III; Moirangthem Rabi of Thoubal Bamon Leikai and Heikrujam Umakanta of Wangjing near YK College, demanded to withdraw the decision of the state government within 5 (five) days from today.
Students of the technical institute would intensify their agitation if the government failed to comply with the demand of the ITI Students’ Union.
