68 rebels lay down arms and surrendered to CM

Imphal, Aug 14: On the eve of India’s 70th Independence Day celebration a total of 68 armed rebel cadres belonging to various groups today lay down arms and surrendered to the  Chief Minister today. Among those surrendered cadres 17 are from UNLF, 7 from PLA, 10 from PREPAK, 7 from PREPAK (PRO), 4 fron KYKL, 10 from KCP (N), 1 from KCP (W), 1 from KCP (MJC) , 5 from KCP (KM), 5 from KCP (MC) and 1 from KCP (KK Mangang groups).
A home coming ceremony was held in connection with the surrendered of the cadres. Chief Minister welcomes the cadres and appreciates them for coming to the mainstream.
