Imphal, June 11: One active cadre of Manipur National Revolutionary Front (MNRF) was apprehended yesterday by a combined team of CDO IE and a column of 45AR during search operations conducted at Khurai Chairenthong area.
The apprehended MNRF cadre has been identified as one Ningkhanngam @Aboi Raihing (aged 37), s/o Jessi Raihing of Wunghon village.
During an interrogation, Ningkhanngam @Aboi Raihing states that he joined MNRF through one Ringphami of Fairy Land in October 2011. He underwent training at Khampat in Myanmar and works under the command of the said Ringphami and even extorted money from the general public’s in IMhal areas.
One mobile handset and sim cards was recovered from him.
For further investigation, Ningkhanngam @Aboi Raihing has been handed over to Porompat Police Station and to take up legal action against him.
The cordon and search operation was conducted under the command of B.Lunthang Vaiphei OC/CDO of Imphal East and under the overall supervision of Wungpam Kasar Additional Sp (LO/Ops).
