Imphal, June 3: Education Minister Th Radheshyam today declared the result of the class ten examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Manipur. This year examination again top by girl student named Priyanka Moirangthem, D/o M Humeshwar Singh and RK Raina Devi of Khongman Moirang Pandit Leikai and a student of Nirmalabas High School Imphal scoring 567 out of 600 claiming First Positon, Thounaojam Joylity Devi, D/o Th Kumar Singh and Th Shakhitombi Devi of Thounaojam and a student of Eureka Academy, Thounaojam secured Second Position scoring 562 out of 600 and Third Position has been claim by two student, namely Laishram Librada Singh, S/o Laishram Jadumani Singh and Laishram (O) Kunjarani Devi of Yairipok Laishram Leikai, a student of Sacred Heart School, Yairipok and Shaha Minhaz, S/o Md Alimuddin and Rashijan of Hatta, Imphal East, a student of Tiny Tots’ Unique School, Imphal scoring 561 out of 600 each.
A total of 35,149 were enrolled where 34,829 students appeared in the examination. The number of candidates who passed this year’s HSLC is 23232 which correspond to a pass percentage of 66.70 %. The division wise break up of this year’s successful students is 8641 in the first division, 13500 in second division and 1091 in the third division. During the examination 23 candidates were expelled and 11 were held for impersonation.
