Remote controlled bomb placed at college teacher’s residence

Unknown persons today placed a remote controlled improvised explosive devise at the residence of a college teacher at Lilong Heinou Makhong under Lilong Police station. The college teacher is identified as Md. Slammuddin (58 years) son of Md. Jumer Ali. He is presently working as a lecturer at Lilong Haoreibi  College. The remote controlled improvise explosive devise probably TNT was found wrapped in a plastic polythene bag and was found by the family member early today morning.  After knowing that the plastic bag contains explosives materials the police were informed and a team of Lilong Police along with Manipur Police Bomb squad expert removed it from the spot and safely detonated at Lilong ITI road at around 11.30 am today. Reason behind the placing of the bob could not be known at the moment.
