Road Accident: One dead, vehicle vandalized

In a tragic accident, an elder man lost his life today morning at around 8:30 am at Tera Khuraijam area.
The deceased person has been identified as Khundrakpam Samungao aged 68 of Tera Maibi Leirak, Imphal-West.
Locals said, Khundrakpam Samungao was travelling in a bicycle which collided with a Tata Deeper bearing registration number MN05C-0914, which was on the way to Imphal.
Angry mob vandalized the vehicle which took the life of Khundrakpam Samungao.
A team of Imphal Police rush at the spot and were able to control the mob.
The dead body of Khundrakpam Samungao has been taken at Shija Hospital morgue for Post Mortem.
The driver of the Tata deeper has surrendered at the Imphal Police station where a case been registered. Khundrakpam Samungao was retd. Lecturer of DM college.
