A minor girl was found lying unconsciously at a paddy field near her residence at a paddy field at Kwakta area under Moirang Police Station at around midnight yesterday. The minor girl (name withheld) was suspected to have been left after being rape by miscreants. She is about 12 years old.
According to report the minor girl was found missing since 8 pm yesterday evening and her family members along with the locals went in search of her at around 11 pm. Later, at around midnight she was found lying in unconscious state at a paddy field near her residence.
The report added that a suspect has been arrested by Moirang police today morning. The suspect is identified as Md Ibungo (age about 20 years) son of Ibocha of Tonglaobi Nagar Panchayat ward no 1.
