Contraband drugs worth around Rs. 1.88 crores disposed

Contraband drug items worth Rs 1, 88, 90,590 have been disposed by burning in Imphal today by the Custom Division, Imphal officials as per the instruction which they have received from the O/o The Commissioner of Customs (Preventive) NER, Shillong.
The banned goods include 166 compress packets of ganja packed and sealed in gunny bag weighing 3276 kgs worth Rs 1,63,80,000.
Banned drugs such as Corocold tablets (48 strips), Nimusud (120 strips), Nimol Cold (11 strips), Nimol Cold (loose tablets) (610 tabs), Altiva-D (234 strips), Coscold (192 strips), Specold (1012 strips), Levocet D (240 strips), Lazine (D) (21 strips), Efipress Injection (9 Ampuoles), Action-Cold (6 strips), Action-Cold (loose tablets) (4000 strips). These medicine were worth Rs 31, 590 and weigh 19.260 kgs.
The banned goods were burnt at the foothill of Nongmaiching hill near Kalika Lairembi, Irilbung, Imphal East today around 11:30 am.
Custom team led by Gaikhonlung Pamei, Assistant Commissioner, Chairman, Custom Division, Imphal along with his custom members namely Th Madhai Singh, Superintendent (disposal), Giansing Panmei, Superintendent (A/S) and RK Bhuminjoy Singh, Superintendent (Technical) disposed the banned drugs.
