IGAR(S)
In their continuous drive for engagement of youth in the state, a football match was conducted by troops of 12 Bihar of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) between Maning Khunao club and BBA club (Brave Boys Association) at village Mayang Imphal on 01 Nov 2015. It was a well contested match and both teams put their best efforts where BBA club won the match 2-0.
A crowd of around 300 people cheered the young players throughout the match. The match was organised with the aim of strengthening the bonds between the locals and the Army and also to further promote the spirit of Sports and Games in the Region. Presidents of both the clubs, the Pradhans and Councilors of the area witnessed the match and appreciated the participants for their Sportsmanship and Team Spirit. Team prizes and individual awards for the Best Player were given after the match. Locals and prominent personalities present during the event appreciated the efforts of the Army for promoting sports in the area.
