A state level painting competition for students studying class 3 to 12 was held today at T.G Higher Secondary School. The competition was organized by Kangliepak Students Association (KSA) as a part of its 10th foundation day.
The theme of the competition was the ancesteral place of Kangleipak inside historic Kangla fort and other historical monuments.
Speaking to the media persons at T.G Higher Secondary School, Lakshman, President KSA said that the main focus of the competition was to raise consciousness among the students about the history of our state, historical places, monuments and to provide a platform for exploring the hidden talents of the students.
The competition was divided in three sections A, B, C according to their standard. In section A 50 students from class 3 to 4, in section B 150 students from class 5 to 8 and in section C 70 students from class 9 to 12. A total of 270 students from different school took part in the competition.
A blood donation camp will be held at JNIMS hospital, Porompat on 12 November, 2015.
Lakshman further said that the competition was suppose to be held at Kangla as per the agreement with the Kangla authority but at the last moment they change their word which left KSA to find new place to organize the competition. Such uncivilized act of the Kangla authority is strongly condemned by the member of KSA, he added.
Angouton Khuman, Secretary (HRD) KSA, said the result of the competition will be announced later today. The prizes of today’s competition will be distributed on 27 November, 2015, he added.
