AR nabs UGs

Troops of the 45 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) along with representatives from Heingang Police Station apprehended one NSCN (K) cadre on Oct 16 at Khabam Lamkhai Check post. The apprehendee was identified as No 19653, Batch No 01, SS Pvt Chingkhuiduan Gangmei, aged 20 years, S/o Mr Gaikulung Gangmei, resident of village Noney, Tamenglong district. According to a AR statement the apprehendee had revealed that he joined the group in January 2008 and underwent 60 days training and is expert in handling of AK-47 Rifle. He has been handed over to the Heingang Police Station.
In another operation,  troops of the 11 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) along with Manipur Police Commandos apprehended one UNLF  cadre on the same day from Sunrise ground, Ward No 3, Moreh while trying to infiltrate from Myanmar side. The apprehendee was identified as No 0603, Sgt Maj Lishan Ibango Thomba Singh, aged 37 years, resident of village Thambangkong, District – Imphal East. The apprehendee is being handed over to the Moreh Police Station.
