Manipuri audio album “Imagidamak-Vol.II” reviewed

Manipuri audio album “Imagidamak-Vol.II” with the theme ‘we are one’, collection of six patriotic songs produced by Minstral Et Ideal Ridam Association (MEIRA) was reviewed today at Manipur Press Club here.
Regarding the MEIRA’s motive behind producing of the songs, Music Director L. Bimolchandra  said  the idea is to propagate the emotion of oneness amongst people of Manipur through music.
The six selected songs entitled as Imagidamak, Ima Ima Manipur, Poknapham Eikhoigi, Karigi Lepli Phumbangnana, Nungsida Poknapham and Houro Houro aims to inculcate integrity, peace and communal harmony among various communities and ethnic groups in Manipur.
He said, the album was composed with indigenous instruments which were used commonly among Tangkhul, Kabuei and Meetei.
Bise Moirangthem, general secretary of MEIRA who is the Assistant Music Director of the album said, the songs will be uploaded as soon as once visual section is done. He also appealed people to collect CDs from the MEIRA office at Sagolband lairenjam Leirak.
