Troops of the 20 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector AR under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) launched an operation in the general area Kamlathabi and apprehended one NSCN (IM) cadre on 26 Nov 2014. The apprehendee was identified as No – 4176, Tholung Warngam Lamkang alias Bethei, aged 29 yrs, S/o Th Renghen Lamkang, resident of village Thamlapokpi, PO & PS – Chandel. One mobile handset, three SIM cards, one voter card, hand written slip of extortion and cash Rs 2,070/- were recovered from his possession. The apprehendee alongwith the recovered items has been handed over to the Kakching Police Station.In another operation, troops of the 22 Assam Rifles of 28 Sector AR under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) launched an operation in the general area Sugnu Makha Leikai and apprehended one UNLF cadre on 25 Nov 2014. The apprehendee was identified as No – 1999, SS Pvt, Khaidem Raju Singh, aged 36 yrs, S/o Khaidem Birkumar Singh, resident of Sugnu Makha Leikai, Thoubal. The apprehendee has been handed over to the Kakching Police Station.In yet another Operation, troops of the 16 Assam Rifles of 10 Sector AR under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) launched an operation in the general area Sabungkhok Khunao brick field and apprehended one PREPAK (VC) cadre on 26 Nov 2014. The apprehendee was identified as No- 03065, batch No – 1st, Heikrujam Hero Singh, aged 50 yrs, S/o H Jugindro Singh, resident of Sabungkhok Khunao, PS – Lamlai, Dist – Imphal East. The apprehendee has been handed over to the Lamlai Police Station. Meanwhile, the same unit launched an operation in the general area Uyumpok Mamang Leikai and apprehended an over ground worker of PREPAK on 25 Nov 2014. The apprehendee was identified as Sagolsham Tarzan alias Arun, aged 32 yrs, S/o Chaoba Meitei, resident of Lungshang Awang Leikai, PS – Sagolmang, Dist – Imphal East. The apprehendee has been handed over to the Sagolmang Police Station.
