Thadou Students’ Association, Jiribam and Tamenglong calls 48 hours bandh

 The Thadou Students’ Association, Jiribam and Tamenglong branch (TSA J&T) has announced its decision to go ahead with its third phase of agitation in the form of 48 hours bandh of NH 37 i.e., Jiri-Imphal road, from 26th June 12 midnight to 27th June 12 midnight. This decision is taken as per the resolution of the emergency executive meeting held in the branch office at phaitol and the bandh schedule is fixed as the Govt. of Manipur fails to fulfil the needs or demand of the association to stay the transfer order of Mr. Satkhohao Haokip, lecturer (history department), Jiribam Higher Secondary School, Jiribam.

The Thadou Students’ Association, Jiribam and Tamenglong branch (TSA J&T) further informed that no transportation vehicles such as passengers, goods carrier, etc must not pass the road within the given specific time or course. If there any such vehicles founds must be torched down at the spot without any further information or warning.

The Thadou Students’ Association want to work with peacefully and harmony with government but it doesn’t means that the government neglects or abandonce our needs. We further warns the government to fulfill our needs or demand within the specific time unless it could break into indefinite bandh. The Thadou Students’ Associaton, Jiribam and Tamenglong branch (TSA J&T) further warns the government of Manipur not to mixes politics with or politicised education.

The Thadou Students’ Association, Jiribam and Tamenglong branch (TSA J&T) made it clear that we can roll back our harsh decision if the government calls us on negotiation table to resolve the issue. The association left the door open for talk with the government on its charter of demands.

Lastly, the Thadou Students’ Association, Jiribam and Tamenglong branch (TSA J&T) would not be responsible to any harms or causes arises during the agitation periods. The Govt. Of Manipur will be responsible for any destructions make by the association.
