MLA Joykishan calls on student to go for higher studies; Announces Rs. 50,000 to toppers of Class X and XII from his constituency from next year

MLA Khumukcham Joykishan today calls on the students of the state to go for higher studies to serve the need of human kind by doing more research in the field of science and technology.
While appreciating the meritorious students in their choice to go for competitive examination for becoming bureaucrat officers, Kh. Joykishan said that UPSC or MPSC examinations is not the end for meritorious students. Our society still need a lot of academicians and scientist who will do research to plan the state for better development and to produce more crops through scientific method and this can be only done by meritorious students , Jokishan said while speaking at the 8th Meritorious Award distribution Ceremony held today at Khuyathong Community Centre, Thangmeiband Polem Leikai.
On today’s occasion organised by the Thangmeiband Kendra Development Organisation (TAKDO), MLA Khumukcham Joykishan also announced cash award of Rs. 50,000/- each to toppers in class X exam conducted by the Board of Secondary Examination Manipur (BOSEM) and Class XII exam conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM) from among the students of Thangmeiband Assembly Constituency from next year.
“This is to encourage student from my Thangmeiband Assembly constituency” Joykishan said.  
Mutum Rajendro Singh, President TAKDO, Dr. Durlav Chandra Sharma , Prof. of Pathology , JNIMS, Phurailatpam Ibomcha Sharma, Associate Professor , DMC of Commerce, Soram Bijoy Singh, Advisor TAKDO and G. Thoibi Singh President TAKDO Women Forum also attended the function. Councillors and Ward members of Thangmeiband Assembly constituency were also attended in the function.
Meritorious students from Thangmeiband Assembly constituency who score excellent marks in class X and Class examination were honoured with gifts to encourage them in their studies.
