Assam Rifles Saves Snake Bite Victims

Keithelmanbi Batallion and Tulihal Batallion of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under aegis of IGAR (South) saved the life of several snake bite victims. Lunmilnlam aged five years, resident of village Sadar Joute, Smt Bijeta Devi aged 43 years, resident of Irom meijaro and Smt Ambrajita Devi aged 52 years were bitten by snakes in different incidents and were immediately rushed to the unit hospital of
both the units. The victim was readily attended by the medical team under the Regimental Medical Officer. The timely action of Assam Rifles not only saved precious human life but also reinforced good faith among the locals.
