Governor Najma Heptulla flagged off Vigyan Jyoti Rally

Imphal,  March  14 :    The Governor  Dr. Najma Heptulla flagged off  Vigyan Jyoti rally from Raj Bhavan today. The rally which was flagged off from Raj Bhavan was proceed to Manipur University.
Dr. Najma  Heptulla said that we as a students of science  should not separate science from our daily lives, the only thing is we should understand where  the sciences are involved, the food we eat, the bounty of nature are all connected to science,  students must have scientific temper. This Science Congress is very good specially for the students, it has Children and Women’s congress. There is no age bar in learning of knowledge.
Saying  that  she has been involved  in Science Congress since her student’s days and also is  a member of Women’s Scientists Association, while expressing her happiness  that the 105th Indian Science Congress  is happening in Manipur University . She stress on the importance  of  maintaining the biodiversity and the nature of the state as it is while using them for the betterment of the people, she encourage to plant  more  trees and continues  to take care of our nature  and not exploit it and to keep ourselves and our surrounding clean and that is the message our Prime Minister wants to convey, added the Governor.
Further stating that since its inception Prime Ministers have always been inaugurating Science Congresses.  She is very happy that the Prime Minister has kept the tradition and has accepted to inaugurate the Science Congress inspite of the fact that it was not schedule to be held at Manipur University but in Osmania University, Hyderabad.
Today’s rally was organized in connection with the 105th Indian Science Congress under the theme “ Reaching the unreach through Science and Technology” to be held at Manipur University from 16th to 17th March, 2018 at Manipur University, Imphal.
